Brush will be picked up curbside starting on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. For safety reasons,
noncompliance of the guidelines described below will jeopardize collection of your brush.

CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP – The Public Works Department will collect trees weekly throughout the City during the month of January, weather depending.  Please place your tree at the curb for collection. You must remove the tree stand, lights, ornaments, all other decorations, and tree bag, or your tree will not be collected.

Crews will NOT collect wreaths, evergreen rope, garlands, or boughs as they contain wires that can damage equipment. These items should be put in your refuse bin.

Brush collection is intended as a convenience to property owners and not as a support service for land clearing activities.  Brush will not be collected from tree removal or trimming work done by commercial contractors.  Collection on private property is prohibited.
  • Collection is for tree trimmings and shrubs
  • No yard waste will be collected. Please take your yard waste to our Drop Off Site.
  • Brush cut/trimmed by persons/firms hired by the property owner will not be collected.
  • Brush must be neatly stacked and parallel to the street. As you face the street, cut ends to your right.
  • Avoid conflicts with trees, poles, hydrants, mailboxes, parked cars, and other obstructions.
  • Remove all metal, roots and dirt.
  • Keep brush segregated from garbage, leaves and garden waste.
  • Brush trimmed by contractors WILL NOT be collected.
  • Brush mixed with leaves WILL NOT be collected.
  • In the event of a major storm, brush should be placed curbside and will be picked up as soon as possible.

In addition to curbside brush collection, The City of Verona offers a drop-off site for residents.
